Former NFL star and three-time Pro Bowl running back Chris Johnson revealed he has been diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Johnson said in an interview with Good Morning America co-anchor Michael Strahan that he was diagnosed with the disease last year, at age 39. 

"There's no history of ALS in my family," Johnson said in the interview that aired Monday on "GMA." "My doctors believe my case is what's called sporadic ALS, which is actually how the vast majority of ALS cases happen." He continued, "That's one of the reasons this disease can be so shocking. It can happen to someone who never expected it."

Two customers of a Take 5 oil change location in Douglas County, Georgia, have reported severe engine damage after receiving service at the same store. Jihan Johnston-McGlotten's 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Regina Lee's 2023 BMW X3 were both left undriveable, with extensive engine damage. The customers believe the damage was caused by negligence during the oil change process. The local franchise owner, Shehzaan Chunara, has refused to pay for the full cost of a new engine, citing the customers' decision to go to the media. Consumer advisor Clark Howard recommends building a relationship with a local mechanic instead of relying on quick-service chains.

As questions mount over President Donald Trump’s broader Reflecting Pool renovation project — which has been overcome by other problems, including a peeling bottom and allegations of vandalism — Greenwater Services, the company in charge of the pool’s water quality, has been thrust into the national spotlight. The company has recently taken on a crisis communications firm to help manage the unfamiliar political waters while it attempts to focus on the pool’s actual water.

Chas Antinone, president and chief operating officer, had a one-word answer for CNN when asked whether the company’s part of the project had gone according to plan: “Yes.”

🟢 Donald Trump posted that the “criminally made algae is gone” from the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. There’s just one problem: the algae is still there. It’s green. It’s back. And there are now National Guard troops standing around a pool of pond scum.

I’m Jay Black: comedian, recovering high school English teacher, and the guy who makes two videos a day trying to make sense of the dumbest timeline. This one’s about a man who spent $14.7 million turning a historic landmark into a duck pond, then blamed “Radical Left Vandals” when it turned green, then deployed the United States military to guard it (and it turned green AGAIN!)

Here’s what actually happened:

✅ Trump renovated the Reflecting Pool and had it painted “American flag blue” for the July 4th 250th anniversary

✅ Within days it bloomed bright green with algae — which experts say is exactly what you’d expect from shallow, stagnant, sun-baked water (it’s been doing this since 1922)

✅ Trump blamed “Criminal, Radical Left Vandals” who “criminally made” the algae

✅ His administration declared the algae “dead” and “gone”

✅ It is not gone. It is extremely still there.

✅ Despite the fact that the National Guard is now patrolling the pool in groups of three and four, with fencing, light towers, and surveillance cameras for days!

It was Trump. It’s ALWAYS Trump.
