María Julissa, quien actualmente reside en Cali, Colombia, negó categóricamente cualquier vínculo con el operativo o con "El Mencho", calificando la información como falsa y advirtiendo sobre el daño que puede causar la desinformación en redes sociales.

A pesar de su desmentido, existen fotografías que muestran una supuesta cercanía entre ella y el capo, aunque algunos usuarios sugieren que podrían ser imágenes generadas por inteligencia artificial, sin confirmación oficial. Por otro lado, el secretario de Defensa de México confirmó que la ubicación y captura de "El Mencho" fueron posibles gracias a la inteligencia militar, que incluyó información proporcionada por un hombre de confianza de una de sus parejas sentimentales.

También se menciona que María Julissa está viviendo en Cali, donde aparentemente tiene una relación con un streamer local, y se dedica a actividades como el modelaje y la creación de contenido digital, especialmente relacionado con deportes como el béisbol.

According to the Mexican government, Oseguera Cervantes, "El Mencho," was wounded during a capture operation and died while being flown to Mexico City. The U.S. State Department had previously offered a $15 million reward for information that led to the arrest of El Mencho. In a post on social media, US State Department Deputy Secretary Christopher Landau described Oseguera’s death as a “great development for Mexico, the US, Latin America, and the world.”

Mexico's most wanted man and the leader of the feared Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) drug cartel has been killed during a security operation to arrest him, the defence ministry has said.
 
Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, known as "El Mencho", died on Sunday as he was being taken to the capital Mexico City, after being seriously injured in clashes between his supporters and the army.
 
Four CJNG members were killed in the town of Tapalpa, the central-western Jalisco state. Three army personnel were also injured. The US had given Mexico with information that assisted the operation.
 
CJNG retaliated by setting cars alight, building roadblocks and attacking security forces in eight states.
 
Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo later urged people to remain "calm".
