Artemis II views, countdown & launch

NASA is aiming to launch its historic lunar flyby mission, Artemis II, as soon as 6:24pm ET on April 1. In the event of a delay, there are six additional windows for lift off on April 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 30. The historic and risky lunar venture will mark the first time astronauts have returned to the vicinity of the moon in more than 50 years. The mission could break the distance record set by the Apollo program, traveling farther from Earth than any human ever has. The crew includes NASA’s Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch along with the Canadian Space Agency’s Jeremy Hansen. 0:00 Why we're going back to the moon 4:50 What happens after the first ten minutes of launch? 12:57 NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman explains the Artemis program 24:30 Exploring the failure reported from the launch abort system 36:31 Launch director Charlie Blackwell-Thompson clears launch 42:32 T minus 10 minutes 52:21 Countdown and liftoff 'This is a beast': What to know for NASA's Artemis II launch: https://bit.ly/41H8zVG #NASA #ArtemisII #News
