An elderly man learned he will spend the rest of his life in prison after being convicted of murder in the fatal shooting of an innocent Uber driver. Video from the Uber driver's dash cam captured the killing from two years ago. It showed 81-year-old William Brock pointing a gun at 61-year-old Lo-Letha Hall. Brock told police that a scammer had called him threatening his family. At the same time, Hall was told to pick up a package at Brock's home. Hall's only son testified at Brock's sentencing.

ICE is so out of control that its own attorney said “the system sucks, this job sucks” and asked to be held in contempt so they “could get 24 hours of sleep.” Those are exact statements from Homeland Security attorney Julie Le, who clearly does not want to be there. In less than a month she’s had 88 cases -- which is an insane amount for the types of cases she’s handling. This is not only because ICE keeps doing illegal shit, but also because her colleagues are leaving.

The US government is facing a real crisis as lawyers continue to quit rather than deal with the Feds under Trump. Le’s own co-counsel quit on the job. leaving Le to fill a role she’s not really trained for. One big issue with them, according to Le, is that ICE and DHS REFUSE -- like ABSOLUTELY REFUSE -- to listen to court orders.

And guess who’s the person that gets yelled at by a judge for this? The attorneys. Le said it was like pulling teeth to get them to listen and that “it takes 10 emails from me for a release condition to be corrected.” She probably got some of her wishes, as she’s been taken off cases for now.

Whether that means she was fired or not, we don’t know. It’s all just another example of ICE and DHS being a shit show, but then again, the sky is blue.
