The Justice Department on Friday released an additional 3 million pages of documents related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The Trump administration says it was the final release of Epstein files, even though some 2 million more documents remain unreleased. The latest batch reveals new details about Epstein's connections to the rich and powerful, including Hollywood figures, tech billionaires, public officials and more. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said it is unlikely anyone else would be prosecuted. 

Attorney Arick Fudali, who represents 11 Epstein survivors, says the release of the files has been a "perfect storm" of "incompetency and an active cover-up" by the Trump administration. "It's so mind-boggling, because they're withholding documents that they shouldn't be withholding … but, on the other hand, they're showing documents that they shouldn't be showing because they contain unredacted names of survivors," says Fudali.

Investigative journalist Vicky Ward, who has covered the Epstein case for many years, says despite the flawed release of the files, they continue to shine light on a world of elite impunity and excess. "We just see over and over again in these documents, there's just one big billionaires boys club that treated women like objects," says Ward.

Pete Returns to Fox News

President Donald Trump is mentioned more than 1,000 times in the three million Jeffrey Epstein documents released Friday, after the president initially resisted the effort. While some of the references are benign, others include newly disclosed unverified sexual assault claims against Trump as well as fresh details about how some of Epstein’s victims described their interactions with the future president. 

There’s no public evidence that the any of the allegations against Trump contained in the new documents were deemed credible by the FBI, and the Justice Department said on Friday that the allegations against Trump in the documents were false. Trump has long denied any wrongdoing related to Epstein or any allegation of sexual misconduct.

Amtrak Passenger Captures 'Narnia'-Like Frozen Gangway Amid Deep Freeze

The newest batch of Epstein files has exposed the names of dozens of his victims, with some appearing more than 100 times, and included dozens of unredacted nude images of young women, some of whom may have been teenagers.

A Wall Street Journal report found that 43 names were left unredacted in files released by the Department of Justice. Among them were many individuals who had not gone public with their identities or were minors when they were abused by Jeffrey Epstein.

A New York Times analysis also turned up more than 40 unredacted images that appeared to be part of a personal collection.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche downplayed the breach in victim safety, saying that the errors affected “. 001% of all the materials.”

“Every time we hear from a victim or their lawyer that they believe that their name was not properly redacted, we immediately rectify that,” he told ABC News on Sunday.

A spokeswoman for the DOJ said it “takes victim protection very seriously” and has already moved to correct the errors. “When a victim’s name is alleged to be unredacted, our team is working around the clock to fix the issue and republish appropriately redacted pages as soon as possible,” the spokeswoman told the Journal.

However, lawyers for Epstein survivors say their clients needed to find their names themselves, then submit lengthy requests for removal to the DOJ.

“We notified them of the problem within an hour of the release,” attorney Brad Edwards said. “It’s been acknowledged as a grave error; there is no excuse for failing to immediately remedy it unless it was done intentionally.”

A DOJ spokesperson told the Times the department was “working around the clock to address any victim concerns, additional redactions of personally identifiable information, as well as any files that require further redactions under the act, to include images of a sexual nature.”

These are allegedly the two masked CBP agents who shot and killed Alex Pretti. Meet Raymundo Gutierrez and Jesus Ochoa.

ProPublica published their names after the Trump Administration refused to release them, with the DOJ not even saying till this past Friday that its Civil Rights Division is actually investigating Pretti’s killing.Shortly after that, these photos began spreading like wildfire across the internet – though they haven’t been officially verified yet. 

Ochoa has been in CBP since 2018 – something that was a dream of his – and according to his ex-wife, he’s a gun nut – owning around 25 rifles, pistols and shotguns when they split back in in 2021. Gutierrez joined in 2014 and is part of what is effectively CBP’s SWAT force. 

And MAGA’s already trying to work its damage control for these two, including by spreading this AI photo of a beefed up Gutierrez. With some trying to compare that photo to Pretti’s, I guess to suggest Pretti’s murder was justified cause they think Gutierrez is hot…?

And many saying if both Ochoa and Gutierrez have been in CBP this long, the agency’s issues are a lot more widespread and systemic than just not properly training new agents.
