My wife dropping her crockpot lid and shattering the handle may be a sad day for her, but for me, it’s another chance at proving my 3D printer was worth it!

For Part 5, I’m not just replacing a handle; I’m upgrading it. I used PETG for heat resistance and modeled a custom "anti-roll" flat top so the lid stays put on the counter. Plus, I finally tried a "pause-at-layer" print to lock the original threaded insert directly into the part.

The best part? I added a hidden clip for the meat thermometer. One less mess on the counter and one more win for the workshop.

The Trump administration is sending ICE to at least 14 airports to help TSA.

White House border czar Tom Homan said Sunday that ICE agents will deploy to airports across the country Monday to assist TSA officers with security at airport entrances and exits where lines have been particularly long in recent weeks.

Homan told CNN’s “State of the Union” he was currently working on a plan for the deployment with the leaders of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Transportation Security Administration. He said he believed it would begin at large airports that have seen longest wait times and that agents would cover security points but wouldn’t provide help with baggage screenings.

“You know, certainly a highly trained ICE law enforcement officer can cover an exit. Make sure people don’t go through those exits, enter an airport through the exits and stuff like that, relieves that TSA officer to go to screening and to reduce those lines,” Homan added.

Iran has been laying traps and moving additional military personnel and air defenses to Kharg Island in recent weeks in preparation for a possible US operation to take control of the island, according to multiple people familiar with US intelligence reporting on the issue.

The Trump administration has been weighing using US troops to seize the tiny island in the northeastern Persian Gulf — an economic lifeline for Iran that handles roughly 90% of the country’s crude exports — as leverage over the Iranians to coerce them to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, CNN has reported.

Imagine there’s a bank heist committed in Fargo, North Dakota. Cops pull a grainy photo of the suspect off a surveillance camera. They run that photo through AI facial recognition software, and it matches with an innocent grandmother down in Tennessee (who has never even been to North Dakota). Imagine they just run with that AI match and issue an arrest warrant, without performing an actual investigation into whether the AI is correct… Angela Lipps was arrested at her home in Tennessee, jailed and extradited to Fargo, North Dakota. She sat in jail for months, with nobody even bothering to check and see if she was the actual suspect they’re looking for (she wasn’t).
