When Apple launched the iPhone 6 in 2014, it introduced a larger display and an incredibly thin aluminum body. Not long after release, users began sharing photos of phones that had slightly bent after being carried in their pockets. The internet quickly gave the controversy a name: "Bendgate."

While later testing showed it took significant force to permanently bend the phone, the viral photos and videos turned Bendgate into one of the biggest product controversies in smartphone history.

As violence in the occupied West Bank continues to escalate, one of the most influential figures in Israel's settler movement joins the programme.

The interview follows a diplomatic clash between Israel and Spain after Israeli officials criticised Madrid over a surge of migrants crossing from Morocco into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. 

Israel's Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, accused Spain of hypocrisy, saying it should explain why it still maintains "colonial enclaves" in Africa before criticising Israel.
The exchange reignited debate over competing claims of colonialism. 

Israel and the United States recognise Morocco's sovereignty over Western Sahara, a territory whose status remains disputed internationally, while Israel itself faces sustained international criticism over the expansion of Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.

Against that backdrop, attention has increasingly focused on the settlement movement and its growing influence within Israeli politics. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has repeatedly voiced support for expanding settlements and has also called for Israelis to resettle Gaza.

¿LA AMENAZÓ CON ICE POR NO HABLAR INGLÉS?

Un hecho lamentable ocurrido en Illinois ha causado indignación. Una joven amenazó con llamar al Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE) para denunciar a una mujer como supuesta inmigrante indocumentada, únicamente porque no hablaba inglés. Todo ocurrió cuando el vehículo de la mujer presentó desperfectos mecánicos y quedó detenido por unos momentos, obstaculizando el paso.

Más allá de lo ocurrido, esta situación deja una reflexión importante. Es triste ver cómo, en ocasiones, son los propios hijos o nietos de inmigrantes quienes terminan discriminando a otras personas inmigrantes, olvidando de dónde vienen sus propias familias. Muchos nacieron en este país y son ciudadanos por derecho, pero sus abuelos o sus padres también llegaron buscando una oportunidad, enfrentando barreras, incluyendo el idioma.

Nadie debería olvidar sus raíces. Hablar un idioma diferente no define el valor de una persona ni justifica el desprecio. La empatía, el respeto y la solidaridad deben estar por encima de cualquier acento o lengua.

Al final, Estados Unidos es una nación construida por inmigrantes. Recordar nuestras raíces y tratar a los demás con dignidad siempre será más importante que cualquier diferencia.
