Satellite & GPS tech on US LUCAS drone vs Iran’s Shahed drone: the US and Iran have different approaches to military drone warfare navigation tech. Iran’s Shahed drones are fire-and-forget drones guided mainly by onboard GPS and navigation systems, meaning the drones' target location must be programmed before launch. The US approach on the LUCAS drone uses advanced satellite links through SpaceX's StarShield satellite network to guide drones in real time. These satellite connections allow the US to update drone targeting mid-flight and send data back, something Iran’s GPS-guided drones cannot do. This contrast highlights how satellite communications and tech are shaping modern US and Iran drone strategies.

Stephen Flynn, Scottish National Party MP, asked Prime Minister Keir Starmer if he believes the American strike that hit a primary school and killed 110 schoolchildren in Iran is a war crime. Flynn posed the question after criticising Starmer for allowing the US to use UK air bases in the Middle East.

 Starmer responded by saying “we’re all concerned by that footage” but then fired back at Flynn and accused him of not being concerned about Scottish citizens in the region.

At a game for the Las Vegas Raiders, the stadium paused to honor a U.S. Army sergeant who had spent the last 10 months serving in Afghanistan. 

His family sat in the crowd watching the tribute on the big screen, believing he was still overseas and far away from home.

Moments later, the family was invited down onto the field for a special pre-game challenge.

In front of the entire crowd, the sergeant’s son got the chance to attempt a field goal to start the game. 

A Raiders player stepped in as the holder, placing the ball on the ground while the young boy lined up the kick.

With thousands of fans watching, the son delivered an incredible kick that sent the stadium into cheers.

But while everyone celebrated the moment, the family completely missed something that had been right in front of them the whole time.

The “player” holding the ball wasn’t a Raiders athlete at all. It was their father, disguised in Raiders gear with his face hidden under the helmet.

When the announcer revealed the surprise, the soldier removed his helmet and rushed toward his family, turning the moment into an unforgettable military homecoming on the field.

A powerful reminder of the sacrifices military families make and the moments that bring them back together.

According to reports from ABC11, two teenage girls in Seminole County, Florida, were arrested and charged after authorities say they planned to murder a fellow student. Investigators claim the 15-year-old recruited a 14-year-old to help carry out the attack at school. Prosecutors later showed disturbing police video in court where the girls were seen laughing and joking in the back of a squad car while discussing their arrest. One reportedly joked about wanting to do her makeup for the mugshot, while the other called the situation a “bonding experience.” Officials say the footage was used to convince the judge that the suspects posed a serious danger to the community. The judge ultimately denied bond for both teens as the case continues to move through the legal system in Seminole County, Florida.

Thousands of US marines are heading for the Middle East, along with the USS Tripoli, an amphibious assault ship, according to senior US officials. 

The task force is made up of around 5,000 troops, about half of them marines. The force is trained in specialist amphibious operations, including landings and securing maritime positions. The plan has not yes been publicly announced by the White House but is being briefed by senior US officials. 

It comes as Iran is attacking shipping in the Strait of Hormuz - closing the key sea lane through which ships usually carry much of the world’s oil and natural gas supplies.  

Fuel prices have surged since the start of the war, as Iran blocks the Strait and attacks tankers, as well as oil refineries and other installations in neighbouring countries that are allies of the US.

President Trump has promised to keep the Strait of Hormuz open, in what has become a key economic battleground in the war.   He has said Iran will be “hit very hard” over the coming week.   

Meanwhile the Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said the US would continue to target Iran's leadership and claimed that the country's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is in hiding, “wounded” and “likely disfigured”.

In Iran, thousands of supporters of the regime have been taking part in mass rallies in the capital Tehran to mark Quds Day, an annual pro-Palestinian event.

Israel has been carrying out further attacks in southern Lebanon, against what it says are Hezbollah fighters supported by Iran.

Driggs Idaho Karen Cop Detains Innocent Couple For Abnormal Amount Of Time At Gas Station Calls K9 And Holds Them For 90 Minutes Bodycam Footage.

On March 18 2024 in Driggs Idaho Teton County Sheriff Corporal Ashley Hayes followed Chandra Perkins into the local post office after watching her and boyfriend Benjamin Qureshi spend what she claimed was an abnormal amount of time at a Marathon gas station. The couple explained they were simply scratching lottery tickets but Deputy Hayes declared them detained anyway calling in a K9 drug dog with zero reasonable suspicion. 

The pair was held against their will for nearly 90 minutes while the drug sniffing dog was brought to the scene. The K9 found nothing illegal. Despite no crime being committed Benjamin Qureshi was arrested for obstruction after refusing to sit on the curb during the detention and for driving without a valid license. In November 2024 a Teton County jury found Qureshi guilty on both misdemeanor charges. As of early 2026 no major civil rights lawsuit settlement or large cash payout has been publicly reported though the viral bodycam footage caused massive outrage and calls for Deputy Hayes to be fired. Deputy Ashley Hayes faced heavy backlash but reportedly remained with the Teton County Sheriffs Office.

"The first time I ever really listened to Kyle Kulinski’s show was in the back of a cab last summer. The driver had his phone hooked up through the stereo and was pumping out an episode through the car speakers — loudly, as if looking to convert a captive audience.

“Do you like Kyle Kulinski?”

The driver, Ahmed, was a recent immigrant and apparently a die-hard fan of Secular Talk, the political talk show that Kulinski broadcasts on YouTube. I told him, yes, in fact. I do like Kulinski, had come across his show several years ago, and, all things considered, he seemed pretty good.

“He understands what we’re up against,” Ahmed said. “Like Bernie.”

But I was surprised to hear Kulinski’s name mentioned in the same breath as Bernie Sanders, particularly with such adoration. Because what I did remember about Kulinski’s show struck me as mostly capital-P “progressive” takes on the news — the left wing of the Netroots crowd more than the democratic socialism Sanders has popularized.

It’s an impression that wasn’t entirely incorrect.

“I have no time for philosophical, airy bullshit,” Kulinski tells me from his home in Westchester, New York. “I don’t want to hear about Lenin. I don’t want to hear about Marx. I just want a super plainspoken, straightforward agenda with a straightforward way of selling it.”

With over 800,000 subscribers and nearly 670 million total views on YouTube, selling a progressive agenda is clearly something Kulinski knows how to do — even Democracy Now, the long-standing flagship of progressive media, cannot match his reach on the platform. Chapo Trap House can certainly boast a wildly devoted fan base (and a not insignificant degree of media influence), but their audience is roughly half the size of Kulinski’s.

While Secular Talk might be more likely to be looped in with the progressive networks around Air America and Pacifica alums like Sam Seder than the more resolutely socialist world, Kulinski’s fiery rhetoric, razor-sharp class instincts, and knack for withering takedowns sets him apart from his peers. Judging by his rhetoric alone, he’s closer to a Eugene Debs than a Chris Hayes.

But unlike Hayes, Amy Goodman, or his friend Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks — who began airing Secular Talk on his web network seven years ago — the thirty-two-year-old Kulinski is virtually invisible in the mainstream media. Despite his enormous fan base, his show has never once been mentioned in the obligatory trend pieces on “the Millennial Left” pumped out by the prestige media. Nor has Kulinski’s name ever popped up at all in the New York Times, Vox, the New Yorker, New York Magazine, or the Washington Post, despite his leading role in cofounding Justice Democrats, the organization widely credited with sweeping Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of “the Squad” to power.

Just last week, his Wikipedia page was deleted. The reason? “There is very simply no [reliable source] coverage of this person,” according to one moderator. In new media, he’s king — the Sean Hannity of the Berniecrat left. In old media, he’s nobody.

I suspect there are a few reasons for that. There is nothing “cool” about Kulinski’s show. (As a friend put it, “‘Welcome to Secular Talk’ sounds like something you’d hear on Egyptian radio.”) His no-nonsense social-democratic politics won’t get him much cred with the Full Communism crowd. He records his show not in Brooklyn or Los Angeles, but in a studio he built himself in his modest Westchester home. His hair is too groomed and his taste in clothes too preppy to qualify as “Dirtbag Left.” Nor has he ever attended an n+1 release party. “Not only have I not attended one,” he says, “I have no idea what that means.”

And yet he’s astonishingly plugged-in for a young man in the suburbs. Wondering how Sanders ended up on the Joe Rogan Experience? Kulinski, a frequent guest on Rogan’s wildly popular show, introduced them. “You make the most sense to me,” Rogan told Kulinski on a recent episode. “You’re a normal person.”

Much like Sanders himself, Kulinski’s show has a massive audience that just doesn’t compute with our media’s understanding of “what the kids want” or even “what the left-wing kids want.”

It’s probably for the best — the very woke and very WASP-ish decorum haunting much of the media world is nowhere to be found in Secular Talk. “Corporate Democrats over-focus on identity as a trick to divert you from the issues that unite us all — class issues,” he said on a recent episode.
