ICE Attorney Crashes Out Over Broken System

In less than a month she’s had 88 cases -- which is an insane amount for the types of cases she’s handling. This is not only because ICE keeps doing illegal shit, but also because her colleagues are leaving. The US government is facing a real crisis as lawyers continue to quit rather than deal with the Feds under Trump. Le’s own co-counsel quit on the job. leaving Le to fill a role she’s not really trained for. One big issue with them, according to Le, is that ICE and DHS REFUSE -- like ABSOLUTELY REFUSE -- to listen to court orders. And guess who’s the person that gets yelled at by a judge for this? The attorneys. Le said it was like pulling teeth to get them to listen and that “it takes 10 emails from me for a release condition to be corrected.” She probably got some of her wishes, as she’s been taken off cases for now. Whether that means she was fired or not, we don’t know.
