Global strike for Gaza to take action Tomorrow
ALBAWABA - Several social media platforms are facing widespread calls from pro-Palestine organizations advocating for a global strike for Gaza, in efforts to protest and combat the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip since Oct. 7, 2023.
Many social media users from several countries across the globe swarmed platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook, with the hashtag "#StrikeForGaza."
A user on Musk's X wrote, "Share, support & solidarity for humanity and freedom. To stop the genocide in which the Palestinian people are subjected."
Another shared, "Stand for humanity, Stand for children! Gaza is being destroyed, you don’t have to be Muslim to stand with Palestine."

The Palestinian National and Islamic Forces in Gaza stressed the importance of such strikes and expressed how a stance like this could halt Israel's killing of innocent Palestinians in the Strip.
It also issued a statement that read, "On behalf of every slaughtered child, every grieving woman, and every oppressed elderly person, to the Arab and Islamic nation and all free people of the world, to mobilize globally in support of our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and to reject the American-backed massacres."

Pro-Palestine activists and individuals are urging people across the globe to drop everything they are doing on Monday for Gaza.
According to Al Jazeera, a global strike requests people to halt "all aspects of public life," including school and work. Other than refraining from going out into public spaces like restaurants and parks, several individuals are also avoiding making online orders.
Since the start of the war on Oct. 7, 2023, the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has resulted in the killing of at least 50,600 Palestinians and injuring more than 115,063 (including women and children), with the numbers rising due to recent bombardments.
